The University of Westminster’s Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment is pleased to announce new student awards for 2014–15.

The Robin Partington & Partners Award will offer up to eight BA and Master of Architecture students significant support developing the material practice of their design projects, as well as researching their Dissertation thesis.

Robin Partington & Partners (RPP) have for two years in a row won the AJ100 ‘Best Place to Work: London & South East’ and also made the Sunday Times 'Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work for'.

The University of Westminster is one of the UK's leading faculties for the study of Architecture and the Built Environment. Based at our Marylebone Campus in central London, its students regularly win leading awards, most recently in the Architecture Review Graduate Architecture GAGA Awards. In a recent research assessment exercise, 20% of its research has been judged as ‘world-leading’, and 90% ‘internationally significant’.

The announcement of this latest student awards demonstrates the Faculty’s commitment to working in partnership with practice for the benefit of its students.

Robin Partington said of the collaboration: “Nurturing new young talent is key to the future of our profession and we look forward to working with academics and students at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment to identify and support ideas that can make a real difference.”

Harry Charrington, Head of the Department of Architecture at the University of Westminster, said: “We are delighted with this collaboration with Robin Partington & Partners; their generosity will enable our students to develop their projects through working with materials and craft techniques in contact with practitioners.”

The initial awards will be made in March, and the results of the students’ work will be exhibited in June at OPEN 2016, the end of year exhibition of the University of Westminster’s Department of Architecture.
