John Owens, Professor Emeritus of United States Government and Politics in the Centre for the Study of Democracy at the University of Westminster, was recently quoted in Newsweek.
One of a number of political experts asked about the possibility of President Biden being impeached if Republicans took over control of the Congress, Professor Owens commented: "It's pretty likely they will try to impeach Biden.”
Following November’s midterm elections, he added, if Republicans take over the House of Representatives, supporters of the “Big Lie” – denying that Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election - will “become a larger presence in the House Republican Conference within an even more polarized chamber”.
