Tim Lovejoy is no stranger to big audiences but even he has taken time to prepare for one of his biggest challenges to date.
To get Tim in shape to serve up a storm on court he has been using the facilities at University of Westminster Sports Ground in Hartington Road.
He told www.chiswickw4.com: “I absolutely love it and I wish I’d started when I was much younger.
“The Chiswick Poly Tennis courts are fantastic in lovely surroundings. I had no idea they were here on such a beautiful sports site.”
The sports facility, close to the River Thames, has six resurfaced hard courts and also provides for other activities including football, cricket, hockey, rugby, netball and rowing.
The former presenter of Sky's Soccer AM will partner television personality Lorraine Kelly as they take on Olympic gold medalist Denise Lewis and radio and television presenter Jamie Theakston in the Allplay Challenge on 1 December.
Tim added: "It’s going to be an amazing experience. I’m more excited than nervous about playing there in front of all those people.
“As a kid I never played tennis at school or at a club. I just mucked around a couple of times with mates on park courts. So I wasn’t a tennis player before this.”
