Ella Dickinson, a graduate of our Photojournalism MA was one of the three winners of The Exposure award by Oxfam funded by IdeasTap.

According to the judging panel, she demonstrated good technical skills, but most importantly the ability to make and edit a series of images that tell a story. Ella’s work - My Vote is My Voice – explored the opinions and desires of politically active young Kenyans.

As part of the award, she will be travelling to Chad at the end of October to cover Oxfam's programme of work, which aims to improve food security for communities affected by successive droughts. She will be mentored by the Magnum photographer Bieke Depoorter and Oxfam Multimedia Project Manager Eleanor Farmer.

Prior to studying at the University of Westminster, Ella completed her undergraduate degree in African Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London.
