Three annual prizes will be awarded to students with the best end-of-year portfolios, in 2010-11 there will be a £750 first prize and a £500 second prize awarded in Year 2, and a £500 prize for the student with the best portfolio in Year 1. The BA Honours Interior Architecture programme offers students a unique insight and ability to practice in a variety of areas of design within one of the leading centres for the study of Architecture and the Built Environment in the UK.  The School particularly values close links with the professions and industry which assist in preparing its students for successful careers after graduation.

VOLA was founded in Denmark in 1873 by the Overgaard family, in the early 1960’s VOLA collaborated with the award-winning architect Arne Jacobsen, introducing the iconic simply designed wall-mounted mixer tap. VOLA has since gone on to establish itself as an international brand whilst keeping the original principles of excellent design and functionality. VOLA sanitary fittings have been imported and distributed throughout the UK since 1974, and since 1994, the UK company has been part of the larger VOLA A/S Group and now has over 100 carefully selected showrooms nationwide.

University of Westminster students will be advised if they have been nominated by the course team for this award after their marks are confirmed.  The Judging panel will be chaired by the Head of Department and representatives from the course team, and one external practitioner.  Winners will be announced prior to the end-of-year exhibition and the awards will be presented at the reception in June 2011.
