Each year we present the workflow of the Vicon Blade Motion Capture system in the mocap lab in Clipstone 5.111 for the ECWM605 Advanced Animation Techniques Module taken by Multimedia, Computer Games Development, and Computer Science / Software Engineering students. After this, they use the lab to produce their own motion capture animation for the final coursework.

The broadcast consists of a live Panopto Webcast on Friday 4 November 2016 from 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm.

This year we are pleased to welcome  Alex Diplock, who is assisting as a new Part Time Visiting Lecturer.  Alex joins us from his other work at Synertial Motion Capture systems, ActingDigital, and the Imaginarium, the UK's world-leading motion capture studio.

As well, you can follow a live blog on a Google Site populated in real time by the students at the demo on their iPads. Users with University of Westminster accounts can log in to view our "dry run" we ran on Wednesday 2 November.

Jeff Ferguson, Lecturer in Mobile and Pervasive Computing.

Alex Diplock, Visiting Lecturer, ActingDigital CEO and co-director, freelance at Synertial and Imaginarium
