The Mayor of London, in partnership with Siemens, is looking for innovative ideas from London's students to help slash London's CO2 emissions by 60 per cent by 2025.

The Mayor’s Low Carbon Prize is open to all students of London universities and colleges. The closing date for submitting your entry is midday on 17 May 2013.

Teams can be made up of a mixture of students and staff, and can be of any size, large or small. Teams can also submit unlimited entries.

Teams have the chance to win a share of the £20k development fund to help realise their carbon-saving idea.

If you’re part of a shortlisted team, you’ll also be considered by Siemens for a paid internship opportunity, which will boost your career and give valuable industry experience.

This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference to the environment and make useful contacts for the future.

For more information about the competition, visit the Mayor's Low Carbon Prize website, where you’ll also find details on how to enter. You can also download a Powerpoint presentation with more details.
