The most exciting news this month is that Simon Flacks and Lucy Tagg have both accepted invitations to join the Centre. This is great news – Lucy has already started some collaborations with the Centre, including work with the Archives and discussions about new ideas around rugby and the law. Simon’s eclectic research includes work in youth justice and childrens’ rights and also drug policy, both interests which we are aiming to harness in the future. A warm welcome to both. The Regent Street Cinema opened this month, this is a brilliant initiative and a space which the Centre hopes to have a long and fruitful relationship with. In a similar vein to an event last month noted in April news, Guy Osborn chaired a Q&A on the excellent and gritty new film Bypass at the cinema.
