Mykaell Riley, Principal Investigator and Director of the Black Music Research Unit at the University of Westminster, was featured in the Jamaica Observer for his work on the Bass Culture 70/50 exhibition. 

The article described how the Bass Culture 70/50 exhibition showcased the ways modern Britain has been shaped by Jamaican music, particularly from the Windrush generation. It was presented by Bass Culture Research, a three-year project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Talking about the exhibition, Mykaell Riley said: “This is the story of the soundtrack to multiculturalism, a hidden history that is still impacting on new music.”
