From 10am on Sunday 17 to 1pm on Monday 18 February we will be unable to change passwords while we install the new Password Self Service. The new Password Self Service is being introduced to make it easier for you to change forgotten passwords on campus, at home or anywhere with an Internet connection.

Soon you’ll be able to change your forgotten password in three steps.

Step 1

Get access to the Internet and visit password.westminster.ac.uk.

If you are on campus you must switch from Wi-Fi to your own Internet provider on your smartphone or tablet and then visit password.westminster.ac.uk.

Step 2

Enter your username and select the ‘forgotten password’ link. An email will then be sent to the alternate email address you provided in SRSWeb.

Step 3

Go to your alternate email address and select the link to reset your password.

Three important points to note:

  • When you are on campus you must switch from Wi-Fi to your own Internet provider on your smartphone or tablet.
  • You must keep your SRSWeb details updated in order to receive the password reset email.
  • Once your password is reset, you will need to wait a while for the password details to be synchronised across services such as Blackboard, SRSWeb, Google Apps etc.

The password.westminster.ac.uk online service has also been updated to provide you with links to information on how to connect to the University’s wireless network; IT help contacts; and information on IT Security.
