The second floor of Harrow Library will be refurbished this summer, creating a vibrant and inspiring study space for MAD students.

The architects have produced a design which is in keeping with the ground and first floor levels and appropriate for a media, art and design environment. The second floor will remain the quiet and silent study area as we know you value this. New furniture will provide a variety of formal and informal seating, lighting levels will be improved and IT facilities will be brought together in a more convenient arrangement.

The second floor will close on Friday 22 May and the print books and journals will be available on the first floor. Study space will be limited and there may be dust and noise at times. In order to alleviate the disruption, students will be able to borrow more than 15 books (from a date to be advised) and library staff can advise on alternative study spaces.

Further updates will be available to staff and students soon and throughout the summer, using googlesites, email, Twitter and Facebook. If you have any queries, please ask a member of library staff who will be able to advise you.
