Aaditi Dutt, a University of Westminster graduate in BA Contemporary Media Practice, has been awarded the prestigious Award of Merit for her film Nepal Heroes at the annual Best Shorts Competition.

The Award of Merit was given to Aaditi Dutt for her moving film Nepal Heroes, created as a tribute to the efforts of all those who helped Nepal recover after the devastating earthquake in 2015. Rahat Kulshreshtha, also a graduate from the University of Westminster as well as Founder and CEO of Quidich, also collaborated on the film, and was responsible for the film’s stunning aerial photography.

Speaking of her film’s tribute to those who helped in the recovery of the earthquake, Aaditi Dutt said: “After the Nepal earthquake we had gone to Nepal to help with the relief and rescue efforts. It was incredible to witness over sixty countries unite for Nepal. Moved by the International support Nepal received, this tribute to those who helped and to inspire others to continue to do the same was created.”

In winning a Best Shorts Award, Aaditi Dutt joins the ranks of other high-profile winners of this internationally respected award.
