Anne-Gaelle Colom, a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Science and Technology, has been nominated for ‘Developer of the Year’ at the NET Awards 2014.

Anne-Gaelle is a is a Senior Lecturer, Teaching Fellow, and a mobile web expert with a passion for developing and teaching cutting edge mobile web technologies.

Anne-Gaelle is one of the jQuery Directors and the Documentation Lead for the jQuery Mobile Project. jQuery Mobile is an incredibly successful touch-optimised framework for mobile devices that enables cross-platform web development and is a key web technology.

“I was very excited when I discovered that I was nominated for ‘developer of the year’ at the .NET awards, and honoured to be in such good company of world-class web developers in this category. It is very satisfying to have recognised my contribution to the various jQuery projects, such as the first release of the jQuery Mobile API documentation or the jQuery API documentation code cleanup. I hope it serves to encourage others to get involved in such open source projects.”

The .NET Awards, celebrate the very best in web design and development. Anne-Gaelle was longlisted out of over two thousand nominees. Five nominees in each category with the most votes will make the .NET Awards 2014 shortlist.
