The article discusses how the number of times people decide to wear their clothes before washing them depends on factors such as sweat level and lifestyle, or other social and cultural factors.

Speaking about why people decide to re-wear clothes on consecutive days, Dr Mohammed said: “[This decision is] linked to avoiding decision fatigue, hence wearing the same clothes involves less decisions to make and less stress every morning.”

Dr Mohammed also advised in the article that although there is no strict rule on how many times you can wear clothing again, underwear, socks, tights, leggings and activewear should be washed after every use, and this advice also applies to any other clothes with stains, sweat, odour or visible dirt.

She also recommended washing jeans monthly but acknowledged it depends on a person’s lifestyle and environment.
