Lena (EASTmedicine) presented her paper entitled: Collectors of Chinese medicinals/ of data: 'Terroir' besides universalised, decontextualized science at the MAGic 2015 – Anthropology and Global Health: Interrogating Theory, Policy and Practice conference.

This joint conference was held on Wednesday 9 September – Friday 11 September 2015 and was organised by the EASA Medical Anthropology Network and the RAI Medical Anthropology Committee.

Vienna Dialogues in Medical Anthropology series

Lena (EASTmedicine) has been invited to give a lecture on her fieldwork: Ethnographies of trans-regional pharma-craft and science in contemporary China: One family as a case of encounters between providers of crude materia medica, and refiners of distinct formulae.

The lecture will take place on Thursday 15 October 2015 in Vienna, as part of the ISA International Guest Lecture, at the Institute for Social Anthropology. This lecture will be held at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), as part of the Vienna Dialogues in Medical Anthropology series.
