The report presents findings from the latest investigation that shed new light on the value of learning in FE in England. It also highlights the substantially negative implications that funding cuts in FE have on widening participation in higher education.
There is a lot that needs to be done, but it is time to admit that we have been wrong about the experiences of many learners in FE and any further funding cuts have the potential to worsen opportunities for the most disadvantaged in society. Professor Peter Urwin
