The Creative Enterprise Centre (CEC) has organised a series of workshops and masterclasses that offer creative industry insights and commercial advice for students on the WSMAD courses.

These will run throughout the semester and cater to a broad variety of interests and disciplines. Upcoming events in the Industry Insights series include:

Focus & Hustle - Setting up a Digital Film Studio: Join Lawrence Kao, as he talks about his journey from average grades in school to win a Cannes Gold Lion award within three years of his advertising career and successfully raising funding from Europe's most respected venture capitalists to start - The Narrative - a digital production and entertainment studio creating original IP for digital and traditional broadcasters.

Digital Marketing - How to Build a Community on Instagram: Want to know how to drive up your followers and traffic on Instagram? Neil Sheth, the founder of Only Way Online a Digital Marketing Agency will be running a workshop on building your Instagram community using the concept of, "one person at a time". This workshop will cover content strategies that attract and engage your audience and relationship building strategies. You’ll learn how to drive local awareness using hashtags and Instagram stories and become an Instagram Influencer.

Lecture in Progress - People, Projects and Career Pathways in the creative sector: Join Indi Davies from Lecture In Progress and Its Nice That, as she shares her career experiences and advice for people studying, just starting out and freelancing in the creative sector.

These masterclasses are free and open to all University of Westminster students, graduates and staff, however, to book your place you will need to pay a £5 deposit which will be fully refunded after your attendance at the session is confirmed.
