Dr. D. Budimir and some of his research students contributed to this production. They explained the basics of Microwaves, discussed their current and future applications such as Telecommunications, Broadcasting, Radar, Medicine, Heating, Astronomy, Next Generation Mobile and Fixed Wireless Communication Systems, Wireless Power Transmission, Batteryless Mobile and Wireless Units, and Batteryless Electric Cars. Staff also demonstrated laboratory facilities for designing, fabrication and testing microwave circuits and subsystems. The program was hosted at the premises of the Wireless Communications Research Laboratory, School of Electronics and Computer Science.
On Wednesday 17 November 2010, the School of Electronics and Computer Science was visited by the BBC World Service filming a programme on Microwaves.
