Dr Lisa Matthewman, Principal Lecturer in the Leadership and Development Department and members of the Coaching Interest Group delivered two in-depth training days on Coaching and the Psychology of Coaching for our full-time MBA students.

Coaching is recognised as a highly sophisticated process for the development of people, teams and organisations. The workshops focused upon the theory and applied practice of coaching within an applied learning framework. They covered the principles, theories and models of coaching, along with an understanding of the process issues connected to leadership coaching activities. The training was very well received and the overall feedback was that time spent learning coaching skills at the University would be invaluable to the MBA students for their roles as the leaders and managers of the future.

The second stage of the project has just been launched, and the MBA students will be receiving one-to-one careers development coaching from members of the Coaching Interest Group. The sessions are aimed at unlocking the potential of the students so as to maximize their own performance in relation to personal and professional development.

  • Free CPD session in psychological coaching
