The Tour Guiding modules are based on two of London's most fascinating areas;
These modules are designed to help students prepare and deliver effective presentations to visitors. Each module is tailored to a specific geographical area to allow students to develop a detailed knowledge of one particular destination. The modules also encourage knowledge of, and critical reflection on, the practice of tour guiding, from the perspective of the guide, the visitors and the destination.
The modules carry 30 credits at second year undergraduate level and students will receive a transcript of their results and a certificate on successful completion of the module.
Each module will be taught over a period of 24 weeks at the Marylebone Road site (opposite Madame Tussuad's). The module will also involve regular off site exercises to develop students' guiding skills.
