Representative democracy, it is argued, is in deep crisis and needs to be rethought. The workshop engages with such arguments and probes deep into the nature and dynamics of democratic representation. By bringing into conversation leading US and European scholars on the subject, it seeks to map out the terrain of democratic representation and discuss dimensions of its crisis.
