With population changes, advances in technology and a greater understanding of how our brains work, how can architects design for a better future?
David Lewis is an architect with more than 20 years of experience designing for healthcare, sports, higher education and corporate clients. As design leader and partner in NBBJ’s UK practice, he is acutely aware of the importance of clear design communication and strives for distinctive and functional solutions that promote better living and working. David is especially interested in how planning and design can enhance a city’s health and wellbeing. He is the design lead for the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital, which will benefit and support the city’s regeneration, demonstrating how design can impact both a city and its population’s health.
