Ever realised how pitching yourself and your ideas is central to every important thing you do? Your first job interview; asking someone for a date; borrowing the money to start a business – these are all pitches, but are not taught as a crucial skill.
Join alumnus Roger Mavity, author and business speaker, to find out what it really takes to pitch your way to success. From gaining work experience while studying to securing early career roles, he will provide insight into how important pitching is, and how to do it well. Roger will also explore the underlying psychology and the practical techniques behind a successful pitch.
There will be time for a Q&A session as well as informal networking and refreshments after the talk.
There will also be copies of Roger’s book, 'Life’s a Pitch', an international bestseller, and his latest book, 'How to Steal Fire', an expose of how creativity really works, published by Penguin in March 2019.
