Jazz Singh: Founder and CEO of Empowerability
Talk on: Moving from Adversity to Advantage with Hidden Talent
Jazz Singh is a global transformational speaker and social impact leader with lived experience of prison. After spending three years incarcerated, he now works across prisons, corporates and public institutions to challenge stigma, unlock hidden talent and redefine what leadership and redemption look like. With a background in wealth management and as Founder of EmpowerAbility, Jazz speaks with honesty, courage and compassion. Inviting audiences to see talent first, conviction second and to choose growth over fear.

Shaid Parveen: Associate Dean Enterprise and Engagement, School of Law and Social Sciences, Aston University
Talk on: Civic Engagement: Beyond the glossy brochure!
Shaid Parveen is a lawyer and an advocate with a proven track record in employability, equity, and justice in the legal profession and higher education. She is the founding Chair of the Birmingham Law Society’s Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage (REACH) subcommittee and serves on the Law Society of England and Wales’ Women Solicitors Network Committee. Shaid has a unique style of civic engagement, bringing together the public, third, and private sectors with a view to creating meaningful change.
At Aston University, Shaid is the Director of Aston Law Clinic, an Associate Professorial Teaching Fellow, and the Associate Dean for Development and Engagement for Law and Social Sciences. Her leadership extends beyond academia, as she has also held non-executive director roles.
