We are delighted to announce that Tom Hingley will be appearing in the Portland Hall at Little Titchfield Street at 2pm on 12 December 2013. All are welcome - if you are not a member of staff or student at University of Westminster, please contact Ian Blake via [email protected] to gain access to the building.

Tom Hingley is the lead singer of Inspiral Carpets, where for 22 years (1989 - 2011) he sang on all their chart hits, including 'She Comes in the Fall', 'This is How it Feels' and 'Saturn 5'. Tom parted company with the group in 2011. He is now a solo artist and has just released two albums through Pledge music. One of the albums, 'Sand', is an acoustic album which "starts with a heart beat and ends with a string quartet" and the electric guitar. The 'Paper' album is a punkier and grittier experience. Both of these will hopefully be available on the day, or in advance via Pledge Music, along with Tom's book 'Carpet Burns'.

As Tom's press release says "Tom may be solo now, but folk are still rolling out the Carpet for him".
