The Centre for the Study of Law, Society and Popular Culture is delighted to announce that the comedian Stewart Lee will be giving a guest lecture and Q&A on 5 December at Westminster Law School.

Described on the website, The Comedian’s Comedian as ‘One of the most iconoclastic, pioneering and influential comedians in Britain, Stewart Lee has forged his post-punk ideals into a thrillingly funny live act, with the very form at his fingertips’.

Stewart's talk is entitled ‘Is stand up comedy a form of creative writing?’, and touch on issues such as originality, plagiarism and restrictions on artistic work.
