This symposium engages with (and challenges) the idea of representation - a prolific and widely utilised concept in political and international analysis with often taken-for-granted implications.

The research event provides a platform for postgraduate students and allows for the exploration of non-conventional approaches to the politics of representation, i.e. representations of the public sphere, hegemonic cultural representation, as well as political representation in the context of governance.
