Want to have a go at creating an app and look into how nutrition can play a role in helping increase our health and fitness? Then join us as part of the new National Science and Engineering Saturday Club at our science and technology campus. The club is for Key Stage 4 (Year 10) pupils only.

What will you be doing

Activities include building and testing an app, working in the exercise laboratories, looking at extremes in exercise and designing your project and poster.

You will be taught by some of our experts in nutrition and exercise from the Department of Life Science and Department of Computing, including Dr Alexa Psarrou, Organiser of the Club Markos Mentzelopoulos, Jeff Ferguson from the Computer Science Department and Professor Jimmy Bell, Dr Carly WoodDr Louise Thomas and Professor Annie Bligh from Life Sciences.

The National Science and Engineering Club runs every Saturday (except in school holidays) and participants are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible. This is a free event, but places are limited.
