About this event
What are the legal issues arising from the ICJ Advisory Proceedings on the Chagos Archipelago and its separation from Mauritius? What is the legal position of the UK in relation to this territory? This panel event discusses these questions in light of the principle of self-determination of peoples, the rules on the protection of minorities, the ICJ Statute, and other applicable rules of international law.
The event is organised under the auspices of ILaW (International Law at Westminster research cluster) and of the ILSA at Westminster Chapter.
