The renowned feminist activist and author Beatrix Campbell OBE will speak about The End of Equality at the start of a student-led workshop on Contemporary Issues in Gender and Politics. The workshop is part of the third-year Gender and Politics module in the Politics and International Relations BA course led by Dr Daniel Conway.
Beatrix Campbell has written for several publications since the early 1970s and has campaigned on a number of feminist issues. Her books include End of Equality (2014), The Iron Ladies: Why Do Women Vote Tory? (1987) and Diana, Princess of Wales: How Sexual Politics Shook the Monarchy (1998). She has also made films, including Listen to the Children (1990), a documentary about child abuse.
