This is the first of a series of seminars showcasing tourism and events research by academics affiliated to the University of Westminster. The series aims to disseminate the key findings from recent research projects, and to provoke debate amongst the panel and the audience. The first event focuses on tourist experiences of cities - a key theme in research conducted by current staff and recent doctoral students. By focusing on how tourists engage with urban space and what factors influence their experiences, the seminar will highlight important synergies between tourism studies and the fields of urban sociology and urban design.
