Dr Caterina Nirta (Westminster Law School) will be talking about her research on transgender individuals in mundane urban spaces such as public toilets. For Nirta, trangender people signal a ‘failure of translation’ and open up ‘a site of contradictions that highlight a narrative of survival and spatial compromise’.
