If you would like to attend, or for more details, please contact: Linda Clarke: 020 7911 5000 ext 3158 or email [email protected]
On Friday 29 January Michelle Everson, Professor of European Law at Birkbeck College London, will be presenting to the next regular monthly seminar of the British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA) Central London Branch. The title of Michelle's talk is European citizenship, changing class relations and the law, drawing on her extensive research and forthcoming monograph on European citizenship and the Law and her previous monograph - The Making of the European Constitution: Judges and Lawyers Beyond Constitutive Power (Routledge 2007).
Michelle is a leading expert in European regulatory law, European administrative and constitutional law, and European citizenship and the talk promises to be very interesting, fitting in well with the 2009/10 London BUIRA programme which is focussed on the transformation of employment relations in Europe and perspectives for the future - offering new approaches to the subject of industrial relations and insights into key current issues, whilst at the same time presenting important research in the area. There promises to be a lively discussion, one which is highly relevant to the current situation of political and economic crisis. So do put this date in your diary now. These meetings can be full. To ensure a place and to help forecast catering provision, please inform Linda Clarke if you expect to attend, preferably by email (please also let me know if you subsequently need to cancel).
