World Mental Health Day: Tea and Talk

Join us for tea and snacks alongside the Students' Union and the University's Student Support Services at Cavendish Campus to mark the theme 'Access to services - mental health in catastrophes and emergencies'. 

Learn more about the services and support available to you at the University and your Students' Union, and the steps you can take to support your mental health throughout your time at Westminster.

Who will be there?

Your UWSU Vice-President (VP) of Welfare, Imsal Adnan

  • Come and have a cup of tea and chat with your VP of Welfare, she will be talking about this year's World Mental Health Day theme and listen to how we can best support you. 

Students' Union Advice and Wellbeing Team

  • Offering free, confidential and independent advice about university procedures for all Westminster students.

University Counselling Services

  • Come and meet the team if you would like to find out more about the free Counselling Service for all Westminster students.

Student Support Development Officer

  • Sharing the University’s work towards the University Mental Health Charter and how you can get involved in shaping a mentally healthier campus.
  • Find out about our 24/7 student support partnership with Spectrum Life, explore wellbeing resources, and pick up some free goodies!

Specialist Mentor: tailored one-to-one support for students

  • Providing personalised, one-to-one support to help students overcome barriers to learning and thrive at university.
  • Delivered by highly trained mentors, sessions (up to one hour) focus on practical strategies for managing transitions, navigating university systems, and developing independent learning skills—particularly in the context of mental health conditions and disabilities.
  • Unlike counselling or clinical support, Specialist Mentoring offers practical, disability-informed guidance to empower students in their academic journey.
