Four people meditating

This programme takes place every Thursday from 2-3pm for four weeks. It is for all students who would like to begin exploring mindfulness or continue improving their skills of awareness in relating with all of life experience while studying at the University.

The sessions involve a meditative practice. It is spiritual, though not aligned with any faith tradition. Through a guided introduction, participants spend a period of time in silence during which feelings, ideas or imagery may form, with a range of relevance to the focus. After gently returning to the group, we share observations and ask any questions that arise. Each week has a particular theme.

On registration, you will also have access to an online group chat for discussing preparation and sharing resources.

The programme is run by Yusuf Kaplan, Interfaith Adviser. Having practised meditation since childhood, he has provided spiritual advice, supervision and training in a professional capacity for many years to individuals and groups.

The sessions are delivered online via Teams, with the option to also join in person on campus. Please note that the video is required to join the sessions online.

One to one sessions can also be offered for those who cannot join the above dates or times.

To register, please email Yusuf Kaplan.
