With Remembrance Day taking place on Saturday 11 November, we will be hosting a Remembrance service on Friday 10 November inviting all members of the University community to observe two minutes’ silence wherever they are, shutting down devices and turning attention inwards to contemplate the sacrifices made by others.
The event will include:
- 11am to 11.02am: two minutes of silence across campuses and digital platforms
- 11.02am to 11.20am: remembrance gathering, laying wreaths at our war memorials in the Foyer, 309 Regent Street
Everyone is welcome to join this gathering where we will come together as a community to remember those who have died in conflict. The service will comprise of contemplative readings and music which represent our gratitude in diversity and the shared human longing for peace and greater tolerance, colleagues and students of all faiths and none are invited to join.
