Join the Sustainability Team for Pumpkin Spice & Sustainability, an hour of pumpkin decorating, seasonal treats and practical ideas for more sustainable living.

This event will explore how small changes can help reduce waste and make seasonal celebrations more sustainable.

Event details

At the event, you can:

  • Decorate your own mini pumpkin using food-safe paint and plastic-free decorations. The activity will encourage the use of biodegradable materials to help reduce waste sent to landfill.
  • Sample seasonal treats from Aramark, including pumpkin blondies with white chocolate, spiced apple and pumpkin skin soup, and pumpkin spice and salted caramel scones.
  • Take home recipe cards featuring the seasonal tasters, with ideas for recreating the dishes at home and making better use of seasonal ingredients.
  • Discover ways to reduce food waste by learning how carved pumpkins can be repurposed in soups, desserts and other recipes, rather than having their flesh thrown away.

The event aims to show how sustainability can be incorporated into everyday activities, from choosing lower-waste decorations to making the most of food that might otherwise be discarded. By combining seasonal creativity with practical ideas, you can explore simple ways to reduce your environmental impact.
