Current students and recent graduates are invited to join a week of exciting talks, learning sessions and design activities curated to give experience and insight into the world of engineering for the built environment.
Innovating for a Sustainable World, which takes place between Monday 2 August and Friday 6 August, will give participants a global perspective on engineering for the built environment featuring industry-leading and inspiring engineers, entrepreneurs and technologists from around the world.
The programme for 2021 has been designed to prepare students and recent graduates for an exciting career in innovating for a sustainable world. It will deliver tangible learning that will equip students with useful knowledge to become innovators and will cover sustainable architectural and engineering design including the transition to net-zero, sustainable water supply and product design.
In the format of LIVE talks and exceptional content, this year will feature the brilliant contributions and support of exceptional Engineers, Architects, Technologists, Innovators from world leading organisations.
Innovating for a Sustainable World is part of the annual Work Experience Week, which was founded by Professor Yewande Akinola, Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at the University of Westminster. She is also one of the co-hosts of the festival.
Upon delivering a short report on the week, a certificate of participation will be issued.
Programme:
Typical days will consist of live talks between 11am and 2pm GMT, with group and individual work times from 2:30pm GMT onwards.
