Come along to UoW’s free Dr Bike event, run by experienced mechanics at Bikeworks. Our event is ideal for students who cycle to campus and require minor bike repairs or advice on bicycle fixes.
Bring your bike to the main campus entrance to get your bike ‘serviced’ by one of the experienced mechanics. Operation of gears, brakes, tyre pressure, and more can be assessed and fixed on the day if needed. For repairs that need additional work, the mechanics can provide detailed advice on what needs fixing and how much it should cost at the local bike shop.
Dr Bike sessions aim to promote sustainable travel to and from campus. Our aim is to promote good health and sustainability within London. By encouraging the use of bicycles as a safe and effective mode of travel to the university, we hope to reach our net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050.
Please bring your bike to the main entrance of the relevant campus and expect roughly half an hour for the mechanic to assess your bike. One of the available mechanics can answer any questions on the day.
