What's involved?
If you’re dreaming of starting your own business, it’s natural to feel unsure about where to begin or how to get your idea off the ground. This programme is designed to give you the skills, guidance and confidence to launch your venture and kick-start your career.
Through online and in-person sessions over several weeks, you’ll gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in areas such as:
- developing an entrepreneurial mindset
- recognising opportunities
- creating a business model canvas
- defining your value proposition
- product development and market fit
- building and presenting a pitch deck
You’ll also take part in the Community Mixer – a supportive event where you can pitch your ideas for the Pioneer Bursary and network with the wider community.
What you'll gain
- You’ll receive a certificate of completion when you finish the programme
- Completing the programme puts you in a strong position to take your business further by entering the Westminster Big Idea Competition
Who's eligible?
The programme is open to:
- current students
- recent graduates (from the last three academic years)
You don't need experience to apply, you just need to:
- be curious to learn – show genuine interest in entrepreneurship and startups
- demonstrate commitment – actively take part in workshops and networking events
- embrace a positive attitude – be open to feedback and willing to grow
