The short film entitled Hats has been produced to reflect the theme of the day, Diversity in Harrow. It was viewed as part of a programme that included a mix of dance, music and a photographic exhibition. The students presented a DVD copy of the short film to the Queen and Prince Phillip who commented on how much they enjoyed it.

Student and co-director Gai Tashiro said:

“As a child, I remember watching a lot of TV coverage of the Queen's Golden Jubilee back in 2002 and have always wondered if I would be able to see the Queen ever in my life. However, we couldn't believe our eyes when we received tickets to attend the Diamond Jubilee event and show our film to Her Majesty and His Royal Highness.

On the day, Prince Philip showed interest in our film and asked us several questions about our backgrounds and what the film is about. We felt so lucky that we were even given the opportunity to make the promotional film and showing it to them in person was an absolute honour.”
