Our careers consultants offer one-to-one advice to help you make the most of the University’s career support. They can guide you through everything from exploring your options to preparing a standout CV or job application.
Appointments can take place in person or online via Teams.

Types of appointments
Short careers consultation (20 minutes)
These appointments give you the opportunity to get feedback and advice on CVs, application forms, interviews and other career questions.
Appointments can be booked up to a week in advance.
Long careers consultation (45 minutes)
These appointments give you the opportunity to get in-depth careers advice.
You can book up to four appointments per year. Appointments can be booked up to three weeks in advance.
If you're an undergraduate student, you'll need to attend a short consultation before booking a longer 45-minute one.

Preparing for your appointment
If your appointment is in person, please arrive ten minutes before your start time and bring copies of your CV or other documents you'd like advice on.
If your appointment is online via Teams, make sure to arrive on time and that you're in a quiet place with a stable internet connection.
