Anoushka Pacquette, an Interior Architecture BA graduate, was one of the joint winners of the British Council of Offices (BCO) Next Gen Ideas Competition 2022 for her work on designing Digital Detox Zones for workplaces. Following this, Anoushka won the BCO Next Gen Graduate of the Year 2022 for her outstanding contribution both at her employer, WILL+ Partners, and across the wider industry. The BCO recognised Anoushka’s work ethic, organisation of community activities and passion for innovative, sustainable design solutions. Having only graduated from Westminster in 2020, Anoushka was commended for demonstrating professionalism beyond her experience. Her design work focuses on human experience, wellbeing and sustainability, in her pursuit of diverse and welcoming workplaces for all. Anoushka is striving to improve diversity and inclusion in the industry and break the barriers facing minority groups and women in architecture.

Carmen Marleen Schliesser is the founder of 720Impact, a strategic consultancy that helps positive change startups implement growth and expansion strategies. Carmen has also founded a marketing and web design agency and co-founded the e-commerce startup FELICICO. 720Impact currently has over fifteen clients, five pro bono initiatives and is still expanding. As a first-generation graduate and a female entrepreneur, Carmen advocates for diversity and uses her pro bono work to empower other women. Additionally, she mentors Tanzanian startups at the Westerwelle Foundation.

Nuria Revuelta

Nuria Revuelta is the founder of The Dyás, a UK-based slow fashion brand that is trying to create a blueprint for a better fashion industry. Constantly striving to improve the ethics and sustainability of the way she produces and sells her clothing, Nuria has prioritised collaboration with artists and local garment makers and the use of low impact materials from The Dyás' foundation. 

The Dyás is now stocked by Garmentory and Wolf & Badger, sold by Anthropologie in the US and has products on display at the Design Museum in London. Nuria has used pop-up locations, gallery exhibitions and global artist collaborations to showcase her brand and extend its reach. Nuria hopes that her success inspires others to continue to create a more responsible fashion industry.

Sajjad Azam Choudry

Computer Science BSc, 2020

Sajjad Choudry has had a significant impact in healthcare and education since graduating from Westminster in 2020 with his Computer Science BSc. Sajjad played an integral role in a major digital transformation project at NHS Trusts, supporting the delivery of an Electronic Patient Record system for over 2 million patients. Sajjad has been promoted to a Lead Analyst after just two years in his role within healthcare and for the last seven years, has dedicated time to teaching SEN children and mentoring tutoring staff. He now speaks at school career fairs, and helps support new graduates entering his industry to kickstart their careers. He also received an MSc scholarship from the Aziz Foundation and is determined to improve the representation of BAME individuals in his workplace.
