History BA- 2023

Attending university in central London has been one of the best experiences, if not the best, of my life. Do not be afraid to ask for help because Westminster has a very good support system in place!

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose to study at the University of Westminster because when I attended the Open Day in October 2019, the History lecturers provided a comprehensive overview of the History course. The course leader of the History BA was very welcoming and explained the degree in great detail. This has had a huge impact on my decision.

The modules taught at Westminster are outstanding and offer a wide range of captivating topics. I believe the University of Westminster stands out for these particular reasons. Needless to say, the Regent Street campus is a work of art!

London is my favourite place in the world! Attending university in central London has been one of the best experiences, if not the best, of my life! I have enjoyed every minute of it! You are surrounded by history, art and culture and not to forget all the wonderful restaurants, cafes and places to shop. The University of Westminster is not far from the British Library and the British Museum, which are two of my favourite places in London. Ultimately, my experience studying in London has been wonderful and I hope to continue studying and working in London in the future.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

The History BA at Westminster is incredible because of its lecturers and the hard work they put in to make it a great experience for students. From the very beginning, we were given a detailed overview of what the course would entail and what assignments we would have to complete throughout the year. We were provided with an abundance of online reading materials which was very helpful in completing assignments or even just to read for pleasure. Each individual module is very well structured, presented and taught. I believe it is important that the lecturers are passionate about what they teach and that is certainly the case here. Every lecture is very enjoyable.

What I have enjoyed the most about the course is  that it has helped me to understand and explore more of my own interests and passions within the study of history. It has assured me that I want to get a PhD and to lecture history in the future. I have enjoyed my entire academic journey at Westminster!
