Chevening Scholarship

Amount: Fully funded - see terms and conditions on Chevening website.

Applications will open soon.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme for overseas fee-paying students. This fully-funded scholarship covers flights, accommodation and course fees to undertake a one-year Master's course at any UK university.

GREAT Scholarship

Amount: £10,000

Deadline: 29 June 2026

GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by the University of Westminster, the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign, and the British Council. We are offering one £10,000 scholarship towards tuition fees for a one-year master’s programme starting in September 2026, available to students from Mexico.

Home Postgraduate Part Fee Scholarship

Amount: £2,000

Deadline: 10 August 2026

One off £2,000 Tuition Fee Award paid directly to the University towards your tuition fees in your first semester. Students on two-year postgraduate or part-time courses will receive the award for their first year only.

International Postgraduate Excellence Award

Amount: £3,000

Deadline: 29 June 2026

The International Postgraduate Excellence Award is designed to support international students who have achieved academic excellence and show passion for their chosen field of study. We're offering scholarships for high-achieving international students, covering £3,000 towards their full-time Master’s tuition fees.

International Postgraduate Excellence Award for 2 years Master's with Integrated Professional Year Experience

Amount: £5,000

Deadline: 26 June 2026

The International Postgraduate Excellence Award is designed to support international students who enrol on the 2 year Master's with Integrated Professional Year Experience programme. It will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and passion for their chosen field of study. Scholarships cover £5,000 towards full-time Master’s tuition fees. This award will be a contribution towards the first year of study.

Postgraduate Sanctuary Scholarship

Amount: Full tuition fee plus up to £12,000

Deadline: 3 July 2026

The University offers two Postgraduate Sanctuary Scholarships to support students seeking asylum and are currently living in the United Kingdom. It covers full tuition costs, plus a maintenance grant of £1,000 per month for up to 12 months.

Undergraduate scholarships

Adar Poonawalla Health and Life Science Scholarship for Home/UK Students

Amount: Full tuition fee waiver for the standard duration of the course and £10,000 per year towards living expenses for each year of study.

Deadline: You can only apply once you have received a conditional or unconditional offer.

Mr Poonawalla has funded a scholarship programme at the University of Westminster to support Home/UK students from diverse backgrounds in health and life sciences, widening access and removing financial barriers so they can address global health challenges.

International Undergraduate Excellence Award (IEA) - September 2026

Amount: £2,500

Deadline: 15 June 2026

This scholarship supports international students who have achieved academic excellence and show passion for their chosen field of study.

Pathways to Excellence in Health and Life Sciences Programme for International Students

Amount: The scholarship includes full tuition coverage, £15,000 per year for living costs, and a £2,000 one-off payment to support relocation and visa expenses.

Deadline: 17 June 2026

The programme, funded by alumnus Adar C. Poonawalla, expands access to STEM education and supports diverse students to become future leaders in health and life sciences.

Unite Foundation Scholarship

Amount: Free accommodation in student halls 

Deadline: 19 June 2026

The Unite Foundation scholarship supports care leaver and estranged Home/UK students by providing a free, ensuite bedroom in student accommodation for up to three years of undergraduate study. Applicants must be aged 25 or under on 1 September 2026, be undertaking their first undergraduate degree (excluding Foundation year), and be studying at or holding a firm offer from the University of Westminster.

Home Undergraduate Great Start Scholarship

Amount: £2,000

Deadline: Monday 6 July 2026 at 5pm 

The scholarship is provided to support Home students with their maintenance costs during their studies. The selection is made based on financial need and personal statement.

EU Qualifications Welcome Awards

Amount: £4,500 fee discount in first year only

Deadline: Awarded automatically 

Following the UK's departure from the European Union, we continue to support new EU/EEA and other eligible international students by offering a substantial fee-reduction.
If you start your undergraduate course at Level 3 (Foundation) or Level 4 (first year) with eligible EU qualifications, you’ll receive a £4,500 tuition fee discount for your first year. Full fees apply for all following years.

Home Undergraduate Bursaries

Amount: Between £1000 - £3000

Deadline: Open to current students

The University provides a number of bursaries and financial support available to current students such as the Estranged Student Bursary, Care Leaver Bursary and Students with Caring Responsibilities. Students can apply for this support once they have enrolled in their course.
