Chevening Scholarship

Amount: Fully funded - see terms and conditions on Chevening website.

Deadline: Applications for a September 2025 course start are now closed. Please check the Chevening website from summer 2025 when applications for a September 2026 course start will open.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme for overseas fee-paying students. This fully-funded scholarship covers flights, accommodation and course fees to undertake a one-year Master's course at any UK university.

GREAT Scholarship September 2025

Amount: £10,000

Deadline: 23 June 2025

GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by the University of Westminster with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council. We are offering one £10,000 scholarship towards tuition fees for a September 2025 one-year master’s programme to students from Thailand.

Home Postgraduate Part Fee Scholarship 

Amount: £2,000

Deadline: 8 August 2025

One off £2,000 Tuition Fee Award paid directly to the University towards your tuition fees in your first semester. Students on two year postgraduate or Part time courses will receive the award for their first year only.

MA Urban and Regional Planning RTPI/BCC Scholarship

Amount: Full tuition fee waiver up to a maximum of 1 year

Deadline: 25 July 2025

This is a full-fee scholarship for a Home student enrolled full-time on our MA Urban and Regional Planning programme. Generously funded by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Planning Skills Fund and offered in collaboration with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), the scholarship aims to provide opportunities for individuals who may not otherwise have been able to pursue a career in planning.

Undergraduate scholarships

Home Undergraduate Great Start Scholarship

Amount: £2,400

Deadline: 7 July 2025

The scholarship is provided to support Home students with their maintenance costs during their studies. The selection is made based on financial need and personal statement.

Home Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship

Amount: £5,000

Deadline: 7 July 2025

This scholarship supports Home students from a Black or Black Mixed ethnic background during their higher education at the University of Westminster.

Home Undergraduate Disability Scholarship

Amount: £2,500

Deadline: 7 July 2025

The University of Westminster has a number of scholarships available for Home students if you have a documented disability. These scholarships will not take into account any other funding you may have from external sources.

Amount: £1,800
