So you’re thinking of making the move to the big city. How will you know what to pack? Will your collection of Furbies turn you into a laughing stock? Where on earth did you put your National Insurance card? If you’re nervous about leaving home, or bigger still moving country, there are plenty of resources at the University of Westminster to help you survive beyond the freshers’ fair.
The Student Advisers are on hand to help with money-related and as a student you’re bound to experience one or two financial difficulties at some point. You can talk to them about your student funding entitlement, welfare benefits, student visa options and more. They can also advise on UK immigration issues including Tier 4 visas.
Our fully trained and experienced counsellors offer a one-to-one service to students plus group sessions where you can work through problems with like-minded others. It’s good to talk, and if something’s bothering you, you don’t have to grin and bear it.
