Prepare for your ceremony
You will receive your Graduation Ceremony invitation by email at your University email account. Once you receive this email, you will be able to book your place and purchase any guest tickets you require.
If you do not receive your invitation and you believe you are eligible to attend a ceremony please email [email protected].

Eligibility to attend a ceremony
You will be eligible to attend a graduation ceremony as long as your award is conferred by the date published in your invitation.
If your award is not conferred, for any reason, you will not be able to attend the ceremony. You will be invited to the next appropriate ceremony.
Graduand tickets are free but you must confirm your attendance by completing the Booking Task in the student portal. You can find details on the How to Book page.
Guest tickets are also purchased through the Booking Task. Guest tickets cost £28 per person and you may purchase as many tickets as you require.
For ceremonies at St Marylebone Parish church we can only guarantee two in the first instance
For ceremonies at the Royal Festival Hall we can only guarantee four in the first instance.
Should we not be able to fulfil your request you will be refunded for any unallocated tickets.
Before you receive your invitation, you should start thinking about who you wish to bring.

Both of our venues are fully accessible with spaces available for wheelchair users.
If you or your guests require a space for a wheelchair or have other special requirements, please indicate this when booking your tickets. A member of the ceremonies team will then contact you if necessary.
We can provide you with a letter, which can be used in support of a visa application/extension for you or your guests.
Please email your request to [email protected] no later than a month before the date of your ceremony.
Before we will send your letter, you will need to have booked for your ceremony and paid for any guest tickets. Please note we cannot name individual guests in this letter.
The letter will be emailed to you as a PDF document, a hard copy can be provided on request. Please note requests may take up to three working days to process.
