WBS Coursework Submission
Coursework submission procedure
All coursework must be now submitted online via your module Blackboard site. Paper submissions will no longer be accepted, unless stated on the specific module Blackboard site or Module Handbook. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that work is submitted on-time by the due date and in accordance with the published systems.
Both online and hard copies of work must be submitted by 1pm on the deadline date as per instructions on Blackboard.
Check with your module leader in advance of the deadline if you are unsure of the correct procedure for submission of your work. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that you allow sufficient time to submit work prior to the deadline, to ensure that minor computer problems do not result in coursework being considered late.
Modules with exceptions
Due to the nature of some assessments, you may be required to submit a hard copy of your work. Where applicable, hard copies of coursework must be submitted through the appropriate letter box at the WBS Registry. A coursework cover sheet (CA1 Form) (PDF) must be attached to the front of the coursework, to ensure that the work is correctly logged and given to the right module leader for marking. Make sure you complete the cover sheet fully and clearly, to avoid any delays or problems. Coursework must additionally be securely stapled or bound (not paper-clipped).
Late submission penalties
Coursework submitted late but up to 24 hours of the specified deadline, will have 10% deducted from the overall mark available, down to the minimum pass mark (ie 10 marks deducted). For example, a piece of assessment awarded a mark of 70% would be reduced to 60% as a penalty for late submission. Coursework submitted over 24 hours late will be given a mark of zero. The University’s Mitigating Circumstances procedures relating to the non-submission or late submission of coursework apply to all coursework.
