Mentor and mentee having a session

The University of Westminster student mentoring scheme aims to connect you with a professional for a six-month mentoring relationship.

Our mentors can help you to succeed by:

  • enhancing your employability through confidence building
  • support with applications and interviews
  • networking and developing key employment skills
  • sharing knowledge and insights gained through the years

You have the chance to learn about opportunities available in specific career areas. With the help of a mentor as a role model, you will be able to build a solid foundation of skills from which you can launch a variety of successful careers.

Both the mentees and mentors are full of praise for the mentoring schemes, below is some feedback from both:

“My mentor’s passion for his work is contagious and I have become interested in making my first step in pursuing a career in insurance as it sounded exactly what I want. If not for the CDC Mentoring Scheme, I might have never discovered this industry and my interest in it.”

Anastasiia Efremenkova
MSc Finance and Accounting

“This is by far the most well organised and effective mentoring scheme I have participated in. I felt that I was able to offer very relevant advice and support to my mentee, and learn a lot from her areas of interest at the same time.”

Ophelia Tsui
Talent and Development Specialist, Deutsche Bank

Application for the mentoring scheme are now open. To find out more and apply, please visit the mentoring webpage.

Deadline for applications is Thursday 5 October.
